Evaluating the Avengers roster post ‘Endgame’ SPOILERS
Here we are. “Avengers: Endgame” is out and it’s truly the end of an era. It’s the same in real life, with many actor contracts reaching their end. As a result, new characters have been introduced recently, as the Marvel universe is scheduled to continue.
With that in mind, here’s my guess on who will make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. Also, this is only covering film. While the MCU films and TV shows have had connections, they usually seem pretty loose.

Last week in the movie report I shared predictions for “Avengers: Endgame’s” box office results in its first weekend. The predictions came in between $250 million and $300 million, and I more or less agreed with the consensus.

REVIEW: Imperfect ‘Endgame’ still enthralls
Like a big rack of ribs or a plate piled with Buffalo wings, “Avengers: Endgame” is pretty messy, but still real good and satisfying.
Just to make things a little easier, here’s a roster list of the main characters in the film: Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark AKA Iron Man. Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America. The Fight of the Century and one of the most anticipated sequels of that time period came out during the same weekend in 2015. Unfortunately, neither lived up to the hype.
Despite that outcome, though, it was a remarkable weekend I look back fondly on. For me it marked a sign of a comeback.

Monday Movie Report: Recapping ‘Star Wars’ celebration
The next film in the “Star Wars” saga is set for release on Dec. 20 and fans in Chicago along with the rest of the world were treated to a first look at the flick last week.
During the Star Wars Celebration event, taking place in the Windy City, a panel was held for “Star Wars: Episode XI,” featuring Director J.J. Abrams, LucasFilms President Kathleen Kennedy and several cast members. At the panels conclusion, the first trailer for the movie and the official title were released to the public.

REVIEW: ‘Missing Link’ is a short and sweet crowd pleaser
Not going to lie. After sitting through “Hellboy,” “Little” and “After,” getting to watch “Missing Link” was actually a nice treat.
“Link” is the latest from the animation studio Laika, which made a personal favorite of mine called “Kubo and the Two Strings” a few years back. The movie tells the story of Sir Lionel Frost (voiced by Hugh Jackman), a crypto-zoologist who tries to dig up evidence on mysterious creatures on Earth, such as the Loch Ness Monster.
His latest endeavor brings him to the northwest corner of the continental United States on a search for Sasquatch. Interestingly enough, Frost not only meets the creature, but learns that the Sasquatch can speak English and actually has a goal of his own. The Sasquatch, who comes to be known as Mr. Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis), wants to make it to the Himalayas to connect with Yetis, who he believes are his own species.
