Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2025 Part 2

More Italian horror? More Italian horror! Yes, I watched two more scary spaghetti flicks along with another shot on video movie.

For this year’s Halloween we have a zombie picture, this one with some nuclear radiation, and a pair of slasher features. All three go into sleazy, bloody territory, which always makes things fun.

Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2024: Coast to Coast

This year’s Adventure in B-Movies was a tale of two cities.

The three movies watched for the 2024 edition took place in the nation’s largest metros on both coasts, New York City and Los Angeles. Yes, terror and mayhem take the Big Apple and the City of Angels by storm this year, to varying degrees.

The first two films have an Empire State of mind, while the third shows some California love. So, let’s dive in.

Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2023: ‘Intruder’ and ‘Death Mask’

The weather outside is frightful here in Minnesota, and unfortunately, it’s not because of Halloween.

No, instead this state has provided us here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes with some wintry snow and ice on this spooky day. However, it is still Oct. 31, meaning it’s still Halloween, and it’s time for another Adventure in B-Movies, snow be damned.

This year I checked out a pair of low budget scary pictures. A slasher from the 80s and a paranormal horror from the 90s. Continue reading “Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2023: ‘Intruder’ and ‘Death Mask’”

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2022 Part 2

Back with another dive into B-Movies and this time around I did some time hopping.

For Part 2, I have movies from the 80s, the 90s, and even a flick released this year. Spoiler alert, the newest one was also the worst of the bunch.

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2022 Part 1

It’s the other most wonderful time of the year. Oktoberfest beers, pumpkin spice lattes, leaves changing to beautiful colors, and of course, Halloween.

With the return of the spooky season, I’m going back to the world of B-movie horror and checking out what it has to offer. For this first installment, I’m going with a mix, with a UFO flick and a pair of slashers.

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2021, Part 3

This year’s B-movie odyssey will come to a close with two niche horror genres.

One is a stylized Italian horror film, also known as a Giallo. The other is a shot on video, or SOV, movie, which were hyper low budget flicks often made with simpler cameras.

While both movies have quite a bit of blood shed, the two couldn’t be more different in terms of camera work.

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2020 Part 3

It’s Halloween and my horror review series for this year is ending in a bloody mess.

I’ve continued my journey through low budget B-Movies and, keeping with the rest of the 2020 series, stayed in the 1980s. For this post, I’ve reviewed two slashers and a paranormal horror comedy.

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2020 Part 2

I don’t know if there’s a better decade for pure schlock in film than the good ole 80s. Not only was it a good time for entertaining horror, it was also an era for people to produce lower budget flicks full of over the top moments.

These next three films fit that criteria.

Halloween Adventures in B-Movie Horror 2020 Part 1

The month of October is perfect for scary movies with Halloween as the grand finale. In most cases, it’s a good time revisiting those classics like “Psycho” and “The Shining.”

However, it can also be fun checking out some pure schlock. The best way to do that is with B-movies. Low on budget and often high on cheese, these flicks are often fun to view with friends over a couple beers.
