Convoluted story? Check. Weak acting? Check. Forgettable characters? Check. Humans given more important roles than the Autobots? Check.
Yep, this is a typical Michael Bay “Transformers” movie, just like the others, and that’s not a good thing.

If you’re a “Power Rangers” fan, you should definitely go go to the theater for this live action adaptation. Even if you’re not, though, it’s still a flick worth checking out.
Taking its cues from the original season of the 90s smash hit, the picture follows five teenagers living in the city of Angel Grove who all come from various backgrounds. In this adaptation, the five are eventually brought together at a mining range where they discover a collection of coins and a spaceship.
The spaceship belongs to Zordon (Bryan Cranston) and as expected, he informs the five that they’re Power Rangers and have to defend the Earth. More specifically, they have to fight back against the evil of the sorceress Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks).

The 1991 animated feature “Beauty and the Beast” was honored with an Academy Awards Best Picture nomination. Disney’s live action version released this weekend, though, will likely not get the same.

“Jurassic World” takes place 22 years after the disaster at Jurassic Park on the island Isla Nublar. At this point, the company InGen has successfully reintroduced dinosaurs to a controlled environment and the island has become a fully functioning theme park. The only issue for the staff is a dip in the number of visitors.
To bring in new guests and bump sales, an operation is done to create a new dinosaur attraction by combining multiple bits of DNA. The plan backfires, though, and to help get the situation under control, Claire, the parks’ director played by Bryce Dallas Howard, calls in Owen, a former member of the Navy, played by Chris Pratt, who has trained raptors.

The novelty has worn out on this franchise.
In “The Expendables 3,” Sylvester Stallone once again returns to the role of Barney Ross, the head of a mercenary group which goes on some of the most dangerous missions that can be given. Despite his crew being experts, though, during one particular mission, an old foe of Ross appears which turns out to be the most deadly opponent a person could face.
The enemy named Stonebanks, is played by Mel Gibson. After Stonebanks injures one of Ross’ teammates, the gun-for-hire decides to let his old crew go and hire younger mercenaries to take down his greatest enemy yet. However, the older warriors still want a piece of the action.

The comedic chemistry of Hill and Tatum is back in “22 Jump Street” and this time they take on the whole idea of a sequel.
The sequel to the 2012 film continues right after the first one ended. Hill and Tatum, playing undercover cops Schmidt and Jenko once again have trouble out in the field and their police chief decides to send them back to the Jump Street Unit.
There, Captain Dickson (Ice Cube) gives the two the same type of case as last time, where they have to find the dealer and the supplier of a new drug, but this time, it’s on a college campus.
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are back and this time they team up in an action flick that can’t go the distance.
Ray Breslin, played by Stallone, doesn’t exactly have a typical job in the movie, “Escape Plan.” Breslin tests the security of high security prisons by breaking out of them for a living.

More action stars, but somehow less enjoyment.
“The Expendables 2” is the sequel to the 2010 action film which featured some of the biggest action stars ever. This film doubles down on that concept by expanding on roles from the previous film and adding new action stars into the mix. The film continues the story of Barney Ross (Stallone), leader of the mercenary group ‘The Expendables.’ One day he is approached to do another job for a returning character, Mr. Church (Willis).
This time the job is to retrieve a major piece of technology for the Government. The stakes are raised for the group when the rookie of their team is killed by a criminal organization led by the character who is very appropriately titled Villain played by Jean-Claude Van Damme.
